Beschreibt ein Verhalten in der Gattung Cyanoramphus, bei welchem sich die Tiere mit zerkauten aromatsichen Pflanzen die Federn gezielt ausputzen.
Die naheliegende Vermutung vor allem bei der verwendeten Pflanze in Wildbeobachtungen, die antiparasitische Substanzen enthält, dass die Vögel diese Pflanzensäfte aus genau diesem Grund in die Federn verteilen.
